Hello, Nicole here! Cheers to my first post. It took me a while to write something that truly interests me! And what have I decided to talk about? Well... I’m going to talk about my love for music. Today I want to feature and talk about this throwback that gives me such nostalgia of good times and innocence of childhood. The song of choice is, “Brown Sugar” by Yasiin Bey, formally known as Mos Def. This joint right here! This joint right HERRREEEEE! It made its debut, in 2002, from the Movie “Brown Sugar” starring Taye Diggs and Sanaa Lathan. Other notable actors include Queen Latifah, Nicole Ari Parker, Boris Kodjoe, and Mos Def! When you listen to this tune you can’t help but think of the movie. Now if you haven’t seen the movie you need to go see it now and realize how you missed one of the best black love stories ever made. Also take a listen to Mathematics, Ms. Fat Booty, and Umi Says.
